Big Words sounds like a funk band in a fever dream. Bassist Josh Myers is known for straddling the borders of jazz, rock and soul, particularly by supplying his steady low-end to Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds. Branching out from that in his own endeavor, he applies his harmonic compositions and sonic wanderlust to this instrumental band where the musical possibilities are endless. As per Aural Wes, “Big Words performances are fiery and funky, and the music doesn't let up until the room is sweating.” Big Words is re-releasing their 2010 album “Chimera” and announcing summer and fall shows featuring Snarky Puppy’s Chris Bullock on saxophone, Eric Krasno Band’s Danny Mayer on guitar, Max Creek’s Bill Carbone on drums, and more.
Big Words Duo is an open minded expression of what two musicians can do with a set of rules that beg to be broken. Expect the unexpected when these seasoned players hit the stage.
